To evaluate the
effectiveness of Frontier's Power Mix fuel treatment, [we] ran a test starting on September 18 of 1997. We took two of our Cat 785-B's and ran them together. We placed them on the same runs, and kept them together for thirty
days while monitoring their fuel consumption. Truck # 25 had a fuel consumption rate of twenty gallons per hour. Truck #26 had a fuel consumption rate of eighteen gallons per hour.
We continued running the to trucks together
while fueling truck #25 out of a separate tank containing fuel with your fuel additive in it. In thirty days its fuel consumption went down from twenty gallons per hour, to eighteen gallons per hour. Truck #26 remained at eighteen
gallons per hour on untreated fuel.
We then started filling truck #26 out of the tank having your fuel additive in it. In a period of about two weeks its fuel consumption dropped to seventeen gallons per hour.
During the test
truck #25 reduced its fuel consumption by 9% using the Power Mix fuel additive, and truck #26 reduced its fuel consumption by 6%. The difference in fuel consumption between vehicles when one was using the fuel additive and
the other was not was 6%.
Based on the outcome of the test, we placed our whole operation on Power Mix, and have been very pleased with the results. The soot levels in our oil have dropped significantly. Since going on the Power
Mix [fuel treatment], we have had only one engine oil analysis that was flagged for high soot levels. Previous to using the additive this was a common occurrence.
Another benefit of using Power Mix is that during the winter
months, when we would normally have used blended fuels; we were able to continued running straight #2 diesel. This allowed us to save the difference in price between the treated and untreated fuel.
If you have any questions about the test or if we can be of any further help please call [me].
